Black Mountain Course History

Black Mountain began as a 9 hole course in 1958 and has been transformed into one of the best courses in Nevada. The evolution of Black Mountain Golf and Country Club has been quite remarkable to say the least. The club is built on proud traditions and on the belief of the original founders to create a facility that families could use for recreation and fun. Our goal is to carry on these traditions and beliefs for years to come.

In 1963 the founding members decided it was time to add a new 9-holes to complete the Country Club. The expansion was well received by golfers throughout the Las Vegas Valley for years. In 1993 the foresight of the members continued with the introduction of the new Clubhouse and Banquet facility.

In 2002 once again, the members voted on continuing to improve the Country Club and voted to add the 3rd nine holes, Desert Course. This 9-holes has added a new challenge and as the name suggests, the player will certainly have the chance to experience the natural desert setting nestled in the foothills of the beautiful Black Moutains.
